Our Story:
In 1978, the SIM Council in Ethiopia made a bold and strategic decision to utilize radio ministry as a means to evangelize, educate and strengthen the chruch. At a time when direct outreach was severely restricted, radio became a vital channel of Hope for countless listeners.
The following year, visionary leader Paul Entz, alongside his dedicted program production team began producing Amharic- language broadcasts in Nairobi. These programs were transmitted back to Ethiopia via Feba Radio in Seychelles, ensuring that the the message of the gospel reached those who longed to hear it despite political barriers.
What began as necessity quickly became a lifeline, offering spiritual encuragment and biblical teaching to audiences across the region.
With the fall of Ethiopia's Communist regime in 1993, Paul and his team relocated to Addis Ababa establishing Message for The World in its rightfull home. The ministry expanded further in 1996 with the lauch of the Gurage Programs. These broadcasts provided spiritual encouragment and teaching in an underserved linguistic community.
Meanwhile, the Somali radio ministry had begun in Addis Ababa in 1974, due to the changing circumstances, it moved to Nairobi in 1978, let by early pioneers Albert & Tina Eriion, Ruth myors, Ame Ahern, and H. Wareen Modicker. Despite geographical shifts, the ministry remained unwavering in its mission, brining the message of Christ to Somali speakers through radio waves.
For decades, our programs- broadcasted on Short Wave from Seychelles- have carried to the most remote and hard-to- reach communities across the region. Today, we continue to eveolve, embarcing new media platforms to ensure that no seeker remains unreached.

This include radio broadcasts, internet-based media, and distributing audio players and micro SD cards. We are ensuring people can hear and engage with the message in a way that resonates with them.
We partner with those who have passion to bring the gospel to the Horn of Africa people and share our faith and values. We work alongside all local churches, missionaries, and supporters of evangelistic work- both within the country and internationally- to spread the Messaage effectively.
